Tod's Opens new Sloane Apartment during London Fashion Week

On September 15th, Tod’s opened the doors to its Sloane Apartment, a new boutique concept in the heart of London designed by architect India Mahdavi.
The boutique was thought to make the visitor feel as if they were at home, explained India Mahdavi, awaken a feeling of warmth and welcome when they enter the store. The rich colour palette, the touches of velvet that are such a signature for the designer, the elegant marble flooring evocative of Italian Palazzi, the bar right by the entrance, all contribute to that feeling.
Talking about the influence that her international upbringing and constant travelling has on her designs, the world-renowned architect told us half-jokingly that she sees herself as polyglot and polychrome.
India Mahdavi is undeniably the queen of colour, and the the stunning limited edition of the Gommino bag she designed – and was unveiled during the opening- is yet another brilliant illustration of that title.
An exclusive cocktail was held to celebrate the opening, attended by the architect and the Della Valle family, alongside many personalities such as Edward Enninful, Suzy Menkes, Lady Kitty Spencer, Jefferson Hack and many others.
