Melinda Gloss menswear Spring/Summer 2014

Melinda Gloss, the young Paris-based brand presented its second collection during menswear fashion week. Easy to wear pieces and youthful attitude seem to be the way to go for the designers as they chose to stick with strong basics and neutral colors for Spring/Summer 2014.
White, camel, light grey and blue, the collection includes 21 looks made of a refined color palette and clothes that are made to be worn (in contrast with clothes which look good in editorials but wouldn’t appeal to nowadays gentlemen). Proper and playful, the Melinda Gloss man would rather sport pants to elongate his silhouette and give himself a more put-together vibe (even though we see some shorts).
His preppy side is illustrated though our his clothing : his blazers have clean cut lapels, his collars are neatly pleated and his looks are cinched at the waist. He experiments with prints but nothing over the too or clingy. His shoes are made of leather and he alternates between sneakers, booties and cutout shoes.
The Melinda Gloss men were for this season : Botond Cseke, Ben Allen, Luca Jamel, Alexander Ferrario, Alexander Beck, Justus Eisfeld and Chris Beek.
