Francesco Smalto menswear Spring/Summer 2014

Eternal dandy chic is the motto at Smalto. For Spring/Summer 2014, the creative director of the brand, Youn Choun Bak, took us on a journey, a capsule of old-school elegance with a modern twist.
Five scenes composed the Smalto presentation, all of which distilling the essence of the Smalto gentleman. Playful, classical, summery or casual he is the poster child for timeless elegance. Blue and earth tones are the way to go this season contrasted with subtle whites and greys. 3-piece suits meet youthful bomber jackets in leather, textile or suede. Shirts are worn in a laidback fashion (unbuttoned at the neck) contrasting with the modesty of the trousers which are fitted and tight.
A spring/summer collection also calls for beachwear inspired garments, illustrated in this case by the short shorts, sandals and prints.
The casting included Rutger Schoone, Tom Webb, Anthon Wellsjo, Peter Bruder, Nicolas Ripoll, Zakaria Khiare, Isaac Carew, Jakob Hybholt, Luuk Van Os, Jarrod Scott, Gerhard Freidl and Thorben Gartner.
