The iconic house of Gucci presented its menswear collection during Milan fashion week..and what a collection! With a show opened by the runway king Adrien Sahores (who shared the stage with ever charming Clément Chabernaud, Gucci exclusive Baptiste Radufe, rising star Ben Allen…) and a very romantic take on the spring summer season, it is no surprise the show was a major crowd pleaser.
Opening on a sports meet romanticism look, the Gucci take on the spring summer season is original to say the least. What could have been a catastrophe (sports and prints is not an easy combo) turned out to be the perfect mix between luxury and practicality. When the Gucci man is not sporting a full flower print look in blue and grey shades, he wears paneled pants that resembles leggings as they are perfectly fitted to the leg.
Outerwear and winterwear seems to be a big trend among the Italian designers and it is with slight hint of surprise that we witness many looks that include parkas, coats and wool sweaters. Maybe was this a way to express how messed up the climate is or how we were well longing for a little cooler weather (while staying in Milan for fashion week, the average weather was 35°C…).
Arthur Gosse, Clément Chabernaud (the face of the many Gucci campaigns), Ben Allen, Baptiste Radufe as well as Adrien Sahores (who opened and closed) were the faces supporting the Gucci spirit for the spring/summer 2014 season, all of them dapper and timelessly chic gentlemen.
