Winter Whites: Houghton Fall/Winter 2012
Patti Smith, Katharine Hepburn, Bianca Jagger, and Twiggy served as some of the fashion icons that inspired Katharine Polk’s, Houghton Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. The presentation, which was held at the Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, featured 1970s easy chic inspired versatile pieces for day and evening wear. With most designers delving deep into a mix of dark and vibrant colours Polk opted for winter white gowns, suits, and outerwear that made the models look like ancient Athenian goddesses. Excellent work on the makeup, hair, and jewellery as well.
